Nov. 2023: (Major interior and exterior renovations)
"We were immediately impressed with Tom Beck's, of Cobalt Properties, forthrightness in offering suggestions and sound reasoning as to why some of our ideas/desires would be unrealistic or too expensive. We appreciated this and signed a contract for the total renovation of our rental proportion in Sun City on August 21, 2023.
This project, a big project, was completed in less than three months, which is very reasonable in today's world of product and labor shortages. Tom and his crew were quick to respond to our design changes, questions and requests for additional services. His chosen sub-contractors provided excellent work and product, which has not been our experience with other house projects. His project manger, Bobby, is wonderful and a dream to work with, as Roy, who seems to be a main worker. Roy even watered the 50-year-old tree in the front yard on his days off to honor its age and keep it alive until the irrigation system was upgraded.
We are very happy with the finished product and think we have a safe, handsome and superior home to offer as a rental, thanks to Tom, his crew, and all at Cobalt Properties. We recommend them highly to anyone considering a renovation in the SunCity/Phoenix area." (Carol & Dan O, Sun City)
May 2022: (Complete home remodel)
*In Mid-November 2021, on recommendation from my former contractor, now retired, I contracted with Tom Beck of Cobalt Properties, LLC to completely remodel my home. By complete, I mean 2 walls separating the kitchen from living and dining rooms gone; all appliances and cabinetry gone; baseboards and popcorn ceilings gone; all tile and carpets and bathroom fixtures gone. Hall and kitchen ceilings raised to match living/dining room and bedroom ceilings. New in place: kitchen appliances and new cabinets in kitchen hallway and 2 bathrooms; huge island in kitchen, countertops of kitchen and bathrooms matching that of the island; new baseboards, paint, tile throughout house except for new carpeting in both bedrooms. Cobalt Properties finished by the 1st of March inspite of delays caused by the age of the house and delivery and illness delays caused by Covid. Tom Beck said it would take 3 and a half months, and somehow he managed stick to his word. Even adding the cost of all new furniture and window shutters to the cost of construction, I have a brand new home for the fraction of the cost of a new one already on the market. I highly recommend the workmanship and honesty of Cobalt Properties, LLC." (CS, Sun City)
May 2021: (Master bedroom addition)
" Dear Tom, It was a pleasure working with you and your staff--- always professional and congenial, and I was completely comfortable having you working on the premises. Your workmanship is perfection! I couldn't be happier with my addition. It makes my master bedroom suite "work," accommodating the leftover furniture from my move. Everyone who has seen it loves it. March, 2020: (Major remodel) We would like to thank Tom Beck and Cobalt for our beautiful home. since the day we talked to Tom about our vision of our new home he was very helpful. From the paint to the tile..from the cabinets to the countertops...Tom discussed choices and costs. He talked to us about scheduling concerns and possible delays. We always felt we were informed and treated with respect. When a glitch or hiccup occurred, Tom would talk to us and it was handled professionally. In a remodel this size we feel the results are better than our vision. The workmanship is great! Our friends and new neighbors all rave about the job that was done. August, 2019: "Cobalt has done two major remodeling projects for me. I'm not new to remodeling projects having went (sic) through a number of them in Washington state, in- cluding a couple that I personally worked on. Cobalt adheres to exceptionally high standards in their work ethic and job quality and that is what I want.

May, 2019: Re: House Remodel (Sun City West) "We are truly enjoying our new home! When we began this process, we had a general idea of what we wanted, but the outcome is wonderful. Considering the house was practically rebuilt -- ceilings, electrical, HVAC, plumbing, flooring, roofing, kitchen, bath(s), new screen room along with the outside stucco and brick work, our home is exactly what we were hoping for.

April, 2018:
"Tom Beck and his project manager, Jason, were a dream team to work with. We interviewed 5 different contractors, but there was something about Tom from our first meeting that told us he was the one we should go with. Call it intuition, gut feeling or whatever but once again that feeling was right.
Tom was always open to listening to our ideas and making good suggestions. He stayed on budget and on schedule. We always felt that Cobalt wanted us to have this experience of a major renovation be even better than what we had hoped for and it was.
We started with a small, 1450 sq ft 1980 home with rooms that were dark, small and chopped up. We ended up with a modern, almost 1850 sq ft inviting open concept home that rivals anything you would see on HGTV.

July, 2017:
"I would like to make a few comments about the wonderful experience we had with Tom Beck and Cobalt properties on the teardown and enlargement of our patio in Sun City, Arizona.
Being the type of person that wants all the details worked out ahead of time, and hand the keys over and head back to Wisconsin while all the work is being done, I couldn't be more pleased with the workmanship, project time line, and attention to details.
I knew in the initial visit, I had the right person for the job. When we were putting the quotes together, all the subcontractors showed up either the same day or the next day. That included the HVAC, Electrician, Sun Screen, Design Architect, Roofer and the stone work/landscaping people.
We quickly had an idea of wha could be done and Tom had enough information to propose a quote.
Usually I get two or three quotes before I select a contractor, but I felt (so) good about Cobalt
that I didn't feel I needed to call anyone else. Call it a gut feeling and I was right. We handed Tom the keys on April 20th, 2017 and headed back to Wisconsin. We flew back to Arizona at the end of June for inspection, and my oh my, were we impressed. Tom kept us posted weekly with pictures, but seeing it in person exceeded our expectations.

May, 2017:
"I have selected Cobalt Properties three times for projects at my home. The first project was a golf cart garage addition in 2012. I have been very pleased with the garage and with the teams of workers Tom scheduled to do the different skilled jobs. We use that garage year-round!
The second was the building of a slatted pergola that is tall and stretches across the back patio. It has provided shade desired as well as enabling the view to stay obscured.
The 2017 project consisted of two bathrooms, and hallway and the Arizona Room. All areas were tiled, the entrance to the master bedroom was changed to accommodate ADA measurements abut allow for more space and privacy by a re-design and addition of a sliding barn door. The ADA shower is small but is a good compromise that did not require the loss of closet space. We have new cabinets, fixtures, and countertop that give the house an updated look.
Cobalt Properties has good work crews. They do very nice work, are courteous, and recognize the difficulties they bring when tearing up one's living space for periods of time! They finish their work and the project pretty close to the projected timeframe.
When teaming with a contractor to have work done, I believe one can rely on the honesty and integrity of Cobalt Properties." (B.J.S., Sun City West)
February, 2017:
"This is a letter of endorsement for the work that Mr. Beck did to my residence in Sun City. I have owned this home since 2008 as I live in CA and the house was a vacation home. I am now retiring, and the property has become my permanent residence.
The basic house structure was part of the original Del Webb properties that were built in 1968. The original footprint was 1086 square feet and I expanded out he back of the house to make the new footprint approximately 1590 square feet. All electrical, plumbing, insulation, HVAC, and cabling were replaced and brought up to code including the garage and a new roof. Since I currently live in CA, Mr. Beck was very good about sending weekly pictorial updates as the construction and remodel were taking place. I worked with his design architect to define a workable plan and scope that included moving both bathrooms and the kitchen area. During pre-contract discussions, Tom (Beck) was very specific abut budget and timeline. The work product of the subcontractors was excellent--- no shortcuts were taken, all debris was removed, and the house was "move-in ready" when it was completed. I would recommend and use Cobalt Properties again if the opportunity arose. I could not be happier. I would also be happy to have others view the work that was performed as part of my recommendation for others in their decision making in selecting a contractor." (M.A., Sun City)
Cobalt Note: New cabinets, appliances, wood flooring, lighting were also part of this job, totally modernizing the space and creating an open floor plan to enhance a beautiful view.
January, 2017:

February, 2016:
Cobalt Properties completely remodeled my kitchen. They listened to what I wanted and found a way to accomplish it exactly as I requested. Tom is very thorough and very organized. He has a great group of sub-contractors that he works with, and they are very reliable, and the work flows quickly with very little down time. He also checks around to be sure that he is getting good prices, and investigates to be sure that there are no surprises, working within CCR and code restrictions, yet accomplishing the end result. They clean up each day and leave the area tidy throughout the construction process. Tom also checks on the project daily to be sure that everything is on target and meets your expectations, making adjustments if needed. I highly recommend this company, and am very pleased with my new kitchen. I also hired him to build an addition with custom requests. This new project is in process. (TJ, Sun City West)

"Thank you for your professional handling of our job cancellation and refund of the unused portion of our earnest money deposit…" Sorry for not proceeding with the patio roof extension. The bottom line came down to my health situation and … we can't handle what we have here now so it was crazy…to add more that we can't handle, especially considering the possibility that we may need to sell the property and relocate to different accommodations to manage our situation. Your handling of our situation really restores our faith in mankind knowing there are christian people out there.
